CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS

Having been formed in 1907 Greenock HSFP are currently celebrating the their Centenary year. To mark such a special occasion the club have held several occasions to mark this.

On the 12th of May Greenock HSFP Players Past and present played in a centenary match against Greenock Morton at Cappielow. on the day Morton ran out 7-1 victors as there superior fitness and sharpness shone through.
The next occasion saw the SAFL Select side come to Greenock for a match played at Ravenscraig Stadium on Wednesday 12th September. The SAFL Select ran out 4-0 victors in this game.
Inverclyde council have granted the club a civic reception at Greenock Town hall on wednesday 10th October. Players past and present will attend this function.
To wrap up the Centenary Celebrations there will be a sportmans dinner taking place in the Greenock Town hall on Saturday 24th November. The speakers for the night will be Former Police Chief Constable John McKelvie who will be the Master of Ceremonies on the night. Ex referee Willie Young and Comedian Joe Camay.

Tickets for the night are priced at £30 a ticket. This cost will cover the speakers plus a 3 course meal and 50 page booklet on the history of Greenock HSFP.
